Loveland Music Scholarships

Loveland Performing Arts Boosters will award up to two $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement, as well as outstanding participation in the music programs of Loveland High School. These scholarships are open to any senior who participated in a Loveland High School Music Department program first and/or second semester of their senior year. The scholarship award recipients in the year 2024-25 will be selected based on two criteria. The first criterion is academic achievement, an essay, a letter of recommendation, a review of the applicant’s participation and membership in Loveland Performing Arts Boosters and participation in the music department courses and activities. The second criterion is a review of the applicant’s contribution to the Music Department by the music directors. The recipients will be announced at the LHS Scholastic Awards in May. Scholarship funds are provided upon proof of enrollment in a college or university.

Criteria

Part 1: Complete the Scholarship Application Form (download here) and submit it, along with the Essay and Letter of Recommendation by 11:59 pm on Monday March 3rd, 2025.

Part 2: The music directors and scholarship committee will meet to assess the contribution each applicant has made to the school music program and score them.

ALL applications must be turned in by email. DO NOT turn applications into the guidance office. Please email your application directly to   lovelandmusicscholarships@gmail.com no later than 11:59 pm March 3rd, 2025.

Kovacs Foundation Drama Scholarship

The Kovacs Family Foundation Drama Scholarship is presented through the Loveland Performing Arts Boosters to a graduating senior who has participated in the Loveland High School Drama program. While participation in at least one production is key, it need not be in a spotlight role; supporting crew members and musicians are considered equally important to the success of every show.

The award for the 2024-25 year is $1000.

Interested students should fill out the application, indicating participation in school and community activities and write an accompanying essay. The main criteria in determining the recipient will be the essay outlining skills that the applicant developed as part of the drama program which will be an asset in his/her future.

The completed application form (download here) and essay should be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked LHS Drama Scholarship c/o Loveland Performing Arts Boosters, to the Guidance Office no later than the end of the school day (2:35pm) on Monday, March 3rd, 2025.

Each year the Loveland Stage Company recognizes a graduating high school student with its Creative Arts Scholarship.
